Local Google Ads for gyms and studios - built around booked visits that show up, not trial forms that don't. Flat monthly fee, no percentage of spend.
Gym advertising has a dirty secret. The leads are cheap and most of them never walk through the door. A $9 trial sign-up that no-shows costs more than a $40 lead who turns up, tours, and joins - and almost every gym account we see is optimized for the first one.
The problem starts with what the account is told to want. Point Google at cheap trial forms and it will find you people who fill in trial forms: serial free-pass collectors, resolution browsers, people comparing every gym within ten miles from their sofa. The form gets filled, the dashboard celebrates, and your front desk waits for someone who never arrives. Volume is not the constraint in gym advertising. Show-up rate is.
The second leak is geography. Nobody drives 40 minutes to lift, but plenty of gym campaigns happily pay for clicks from people who would have to. A gym sells to the area a member will actually travel through on a weekday evening, and that is usually a far smaller radius than the one sitting in the account settings. Every click from outside it is a donation to Google.
And then there is January. Memberships spike, the invoice arrives, the agency takes a bow. But January fills gyms on its own. The honest test of an ad account is what it produces in March and October, and if a case study only ever shows one month of the year, you already know which month that is.
None of this shows up in the top-line dashboard. It shows up in search term reports, geography reports and the gap between sign-ups and show-ups, which is exactly where our free audit starts.
We build gym campaigns around one honest number: how far will someone actually drive to work out. Then every dollar goes inside that radius, at the hours your front desk can answer, against the searches that mean joining rather than browsing.
Every engagement opens with an audit of the account you already have. Where the spend went, which searches actually triggered your ads, and what happened after the click. Then structure: campaigns built local-first, geotargeted to the streets your members really come from, with budget split so the memberships you want more of get the spend, whether that is full access, classes or personal training.
Negative keywords do quiet, constant work in this vertical. Job seekers searching for gym roles, freebie hunters after a free workout plan, bargain tourists chasing the cheapest possible day pass: all of it gets filtered out before it costs you a click. Meanwhile ad copy gets written for joiners, then A/B tested against real search behavior rather than kept because someone liked the headline.
Tracking is where gym accounts most often lie to their owners. A form fill is not a member. We build conversion tracking around booked visits and calls, so the account optimizes toward people who actually show up, not people who fill in forms.
Bidding strategy comes last for a reason. Once tracking can tell a booked visit from a bounced click, bids and budgets get adjusted from real data: dialed up where members actually come from, pulled back where they never do, and planned around the seasonal swings every gym lives with. Competitor analysis rounds it out - which gyms and studios bid on the same searches, what offers they lead with, and where yours is beatable. Every month you get a report in plain numbers: what was spent, what it produced, and what changes next.
The click is only half the job, so we study the other half in public. We tore down real gym landing pages from live ads - the winners and the ones burning money - and we apply that scoring to yours. If your page buries the price or hides the trial form behind a store locator, we tell you exactly what to change.
And if you want more than search, our Advanced package extends the same discipline to social platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, where fitness audiences actually spend their scrolling time. One team, one strategy, one flat fee.
$2,000 a month flat on Starter. Compare that with a $50k marketing hire who has never run a Google Ads account through a January rush.
The flat part matters. $4,000 a month on Advanced, and neither package ever charges a percentage of ad spend, so the fee does not swell with your January budget and we have no reason to tell you to spend more. The only way we keep a gym’s account is by making the budget produce members.
Everything each package includes is on our PPC consulting page. And the reviews further down this page are our clients describing the work in their own words.
Full Google Ads management: keyword research, negative keywords, ad copywriting and A/B testing, bidding strategy, conversion tracking and competitor reconnaissance.
Everything in Starter, plus social ad platforms, unlimited ad creative design and unlimited landing page design.
$2,000 a month on our Starter package or $4,000 a month on Advanced, billed as a flat monthly fee. We never charge a percentage of ad spend, so the fee stays the same in January as it does in June.

Smaller than you want it to be. Most members come from the area they can actually reach on a weekday evening, and clicks from outside that area rarely turn into memberships. We would rather spend your whole budget inside an honest radius than spread it across a city that will never visit.
The right number depends on your location, parking and competition, which is exactly the kind of thing the free audit looks at.
That is the goal of the tracking we build. Form fills and calls are the start, but the account should optimize toward people who book a visit and walk through the door. Where your booking or membership software can report a join, we work on connecting it: CRM and ad platform integrations are part of the engagement.
Until that link exists, we at least separate booked visits from raw sign-ups, so bidding favors the leads that show up.
Before the spike, not during it. Conversion tracking and campaign structure take weeks to season, and an account that starts learning in December is guessing through the busiest month of the year.
Be careful with any agency that shows you January-only numbers. Every gym grows in January. The question is what the account does in March.
