How we built this.

Stewart Dunlop
“These are all the landing page reference files I wish I had when I started running Google Ads 12 years ago. Enjoy!”
Stewart Dunlop, Founder of PPC.io
  1. 2,201 pages read

We searched the way your buyers search, in 54 industries, and followed the paid ads that came up. Every page was running behind a live Google Ad when we caught it.

  2. 382 made the cut

We read every page by hand: the headline, the form, the offer and what it asked for. We don't have anyone's conversion numbers, so we ranked them by how much they teach.

  3. 566 lines marked

Word for word off the page, with every company named and linked so you can check us.

  4. 167 wasted clicks

The pages that lose the visitor are written up too, with the reason. We never name them.

PPC landing page questions.

What makes a good PPC landing page?

It answers the ad, then it answers the worry that stops people buying. Of the 566 lines we marked on winning pages, 99 answer that worry, 98 are real reviews, 77 cut a step out of the form and 52 put the price on the page. Colours and fonts barely came up.

Why do so many PPC landing pages waste the click?

They break the promise the ad made. An MBA ad sold a $147K salary and the page hid the number below the fold. A chiropractor sold its new patient special and the page had no price and no offer on it. A search for all-inclusive resorts in Costa Rica landed on a booking form with every field empty, Costa Rica included. We wrote up 167 pages like these.

Where do these examples come from?

Real Google Ads campaigns in 54 industries, from roofers and dentists to CRM software and credit cards. We searched like a buyer, clicked the ad and saved the page it landed on, along with the ad itself.

Do you have their conversion rates?

No, and nobody outside the company does. So we ranked the winners by what you can learn from them, not by a number we can't see.

Can I get my own page read like this?

Yes. Postclick reads the page your ads point at the same way we read these, names what is costing you the click and draws a better version.
